Share this post Link to post Share on other sites. I found that swapping in a new card won’t allow me to access the new drive until I ran LVM for some reason. Windows will automatically search the disc for your driver software. It has always worked under eCS though. I could copy files to it and even read them.

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and rtavelstar the support section for driver software. The included version must have been crippled, since the flyer said you had to go to their website to download the full version. The Travelstar 8E is listed as drive E. The only thing that was beginning to cramp its usefulness was lack of disk space. I find that it’s just way too much work to get the Travelstar 8E device to work correctly under Windows Vista. Right click computer under the start tab and select manage 2. Your device will not function until you ttavelstar driver software.
When that was done, I had to reinstall the device. But that would have been devastating if I was actually using the drive.

Though I have it working under eCS, there traveostar some issues with it. Microsoft did not provide drivers for the Travelstar 8E when in use under Windows Vista and higher. I then tested it by copying a large number of directories and files to the drive and it worked. Just curious to ask.
Posted January 24, I am evidently missing something possibly because you did not write it. That ihm 15 minutes. How about a pcmcia-to-usb adapter pretty cheap but your “Card” part of the Travelstar is probably bit OLD so be aware. Register a new account. When I click on the non-functioning device, I get this in the Device Status:. Click on the Device manager tab.
