The system profile actually says “No Built In Audio” – is this normal? Turns out the problem is a hardware failure of the jack’s sensing pin.

Scott, thank you so much for your help it worked. But nothing will come out of laptop speaker.
I installed all the recent updates. Removing completely ‘bcmwl-kernel-source’ and installing ‘bfwcutter’ and it’s dependant ‘firmware-binstaller’ is enough to fix the problem.
