Posted October 24, My system has been setup in ide mode with Windows 7 64 bits. Alright, I just picked up this board and installed it last night, and everything seems to be working good.. I’ve changed the sata port for the ssd now 1. I will be running a clean install of Windows 7 64 and at present have no option to change the bios to AHCI mode with my current hard drive.

Anyway there is a solution to the problem, you can simply pencil over the resistor shown in the picture.

Ahc sorry that was for the Jmicron controller so i’m back to square one. Normally, if I follow the tuto, step 10 and 11, the hard drive is connected to the JMicron and when windows comes up, it asks for drivers.
Yes I am very familiar with the bios and realize how to change the option, but the only option I have there is IDE. Look for this in the BIOS: Fri Jan 23, 2: I’m not quite sure about the vdimm mod.

In my case, Windows has never passed the logo after changing sata mode to ahci in bios.
Also what series of install discs did you use?
